A chance to die - the title of this site is taken from the selfnamed biography of Amy Carmichael, written by Elisabeth Elliot. The title of the biography is taken from a letter cited in it that Amy Carmichael wrote to a young man in England who wanted to join her in the childrens village that she had started in India. She described the mission field as "a chance to die" refering to the words of Jesus cited above.

To get rid of our selfishness and see no longer ourselves but God's glory as the most important thing in our life is on of the biggest challenges in the life of a Christian. And it will be the focus of this site. We have to recognise and use the changes to die in our life.

You won't find fabricated solutions here nor am I in any position to give tips as an expert showing you how I achieved it. It will be much more a possibility to participate in my journey. And as I am still pretty much at the beginning despite the many years that God has been working in me and renewing me, I hope that it will proof helpful for every Christian, no matter if newly saved or walking with the Lord for years.
